Schoofs’ undergraduate years were spent at Northwestern University where he was president of his fraternity and a varsity swimmer.  While working for Congresswoman Meyers, he completed a Master’s in Economics from George Mason University.  Greg remains active with the Northwestern Alumni Association and served its treasurer.

Issues

I ask your support to give our area a choice in November and the opportunity to have a real debate on the issues facing Kansas. I do not share my opponent’s faith in the Progressive policy approach. Having put three children through the public schools with personal roots going back to 1984, I am running to maintain our quality of life, support our neighborhoods and bring real world business and financial expertise to addressing issues critical to the future of Kansans.

  • Maintain Shawnee Mission schools’ excellence with full funding, accountability, oversight, and parent involvement.
  • Back local law enforcement to keep our neighborhoods safe.
  • Restore energy independence to help tame inflation and promote national security, while investing long-term in clean energy solutions.
  • Support fiscally responsible pro-growth tax and regulatory policies that stimulate job growth and the tax base.
  • LGBT – fully support existing protections and the right to marriage, including lowering barriers to adoption.
  • Support small businesses and entrepreneurship – as a banker and small business owner Greg knows the challenges and the tremendous need to create an environment conducive to attracting the best and brightest minds to Kansas.
